Mate is a drink made from the leaves of the Paraguayan holly tree. It is sometimes called Jesuit tea because the Jesuits played a key role in spreading its popularity among the population. Thanks to its high caffeine content, mate has stimulating effects similar to coffee or tea. Due to its caffeine content and ability to effectively stimulate the body, it is considered one of the healthiest forms of stimulation. It also contains anti-inflammatory saponins and small amounts of vitamins C and E.
Mate is traditionally served in a gourd (calabash) and drunk through a special straw (bombilla). Both items can be purchased in our store.

Recommended preparation instructions: To prepare 1 liter of tea, use 15-20g of tea and pour water at a temperature of 100°C over it. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
